I think you have the above logic reversed. If you use printer metrics on 
the screen, you have true wysiwyg. The downside is that text is sometimes 
difficult to read, because the widths are tuned for printer resolution.
FrameMaker will break a line of text based on printer metrics, but displays
using screen metrics.  The difference is made up in the space
between words. On dense lines sometimes there just aren't enough screen
pixels to go around, and pixels are shaved between characters within
a word.

FrameMaker 2.0 has a feature called Use Formats From, which means you can
slam dunk the formatting of one document onto another. You can do this with
a document, or a complete book made up of multiple documents.
