I'm about to use dump to optical disks to backup the 660MB hard disk in the NeXT that is the network fileserver for our cluster of 4 NeXTs. df indicates 327380 kbytes out of 446719 used on /dev/sd0a (mounted on /) 60004 kbytes out of 216311 used on /dev/sd0b (mounted on /clients) Is anyone willing to share experiences, good or bad, with dumping to optical disks? Has anyone actually restored from optical disks after a hard disk crash? More importantly, has anyone had dump/restore fail them? -- Dave Hale dhale@csm9a.colorado.edu (303) 273-3408 Department of Geophysics, Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO 80401
