I have taken an interest in Buick Wildcats. From checking in an automobile history book they seem to have been made from about 1962 to about 1970. According to the book, as I recall, in 1967 the engine displacement went from 401 to a smoother running 430. In 1968, the chassis was switched from the Electra size to the smaller Lasabre size. In 1970, a 455 engine was used. From what I recall from the book, the Centurian replaced the Wildcat model after 1970. I would very much like to get opinions on the preferred model year for this car and preferred engine size (401, 430, 455). I would appreciate getting suggestions on how to find and buy one, given that I don't have much more than $500 - $700 to spend on one initially and am not very effective at negotiating sales prices. Are there brokers that search for used cars similar in concept to the brokers that find particular new cars. Any information about this subject (including other 1960's Buicks) will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------- UUCP: {ihnp4,akgua,decvax,dcdwest,ucbvax}!sdcsvax!noscvax!thrapp
