I am looking for a 2 window shell. -------------------- ^ ; ^ ---------------------- ; ----------------------- : cat foo : ; : : : 1 : ; : 14 : : 2 : ; : 15 : : 3 : ; : 16 : : 4 : ; : 17 : : 5 B : ; : 18 A : : 6 : ; : 19 : : 7 : ; : 20 : : 8 : ; : 21 : : 9 : ; : 22 : : 10 : ; : 23 : : 11 : ; : 24 : : 12 : ; : 25 : : 13 : ; : $ : ______________________ ; _______________________ ^ ; ^--------------------- Here is the scenario. You start the application. The $ prompt comes up on the top of window A. The login goes on as usual until you get to the bottom of screen A. When at the bottom of the screen and you do a command, the top text usually scrolls up off of window A, never to be seen again. What I think would be usefull is to have the scrolled text show up on the bottom of window B where it starts to scroll. An example is when you do a cat foo, where foo is file that holds a list of numbers, you get something like seen in the diagram. Is this possible already? If not, would this be hard to do?
