[comp.sys.next] tm-next.h file for gcc on a NeXT

bates@wingra.stat.wisc.edu (Douglas Bates) (01/18/90)

A couple of people have mentioned troubles with trying to get recent
versions of gcc compiled on the Cube. I had similar problems back in
November, sent a note to bugs-gcc@prep.ai.mit.edu and received the
enclosed tm-next.h file from Richard Stallman. I should have posted
it here earlier to save others the trouble but it was archived on an
optical and usually I read news from home where I can't insert the
optical ...

(You might ask, "Why do you want to bring up gcc when the NeXT cc
compiler is a superset of an earlier release of gcc?" Because then
you have the sources and can do things like incorporate Ron
Guilmette's protoize/unprotoize code. When are NeXT and the Free
Software Foundation going to dot the i's and cross the t's on their
legal agreements so the sources for the Objective-C compiler become
available?)
