A few weeks ago, there was a discussion about browsers, and how to make one. Several solutions were posted, and the discussion ended (if memory serves me right) with a particularly elegant solution. However, like an idiot, I didn't save it. Is there an archive where back messages to this group are stored? I looked at Purdue, Oregon, and U.Md. without finding anything. If there isn't an archive, could some kind soul please retrieve this from their own saved copy and send it to me? Thanks, and my apologies for wasting network space when I should have done it right the first time. Pat McGee, jpm@lanl.gov

In article <42678@lanl.gov> jpm@lanl.gov (James P Mcgee) looks for browser articles: > Is there an archive where back messages to this >group are stored? I looked at Purdue, Oregon, and U.Md. >without finding anything. Look on cc.purdue.edu in pub/next/news for this years news, and in the subdir 1989 for last years news. I've also started keeping the more current news in the file called "current" in the news directory. This way when I'm late getting thing a month's news packaged, you still have access to it. Several people have sent in requests in the past couple of weeks which I haven't had a chance to add to the archives yet (I actually do real work to :-). I hope to bring the archives back up to date by the end of this week. Watch for lots of new additions. I'm also hoping to pick up anything on any other archives and stash it on cc.purdue.edu. If you would like your archive listed in the "ARCHIVES" file, please let me know so I can update that as well. While I'm out here, please be sure to use the mail alias "archive-management@cc.purdue.edu" for questions/comments about the archive server or ftp directory, and "next-archive@cc.purdue.edu" for submissions. That way I can offload a bit of this work and your submission may make it into the archives even sooner. gerrit
