Yet another NetInfo problem.
While changing printing information with the NetInfoManager,
my NeXT was powered down. The result is that it will no longer
boot correctly. When booted in single-user mode, it appears
that the NetInfo Demon is not running. What gives? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

In response to your question - Look in the file /etc/rc.local for "portmap" and "nibind" to see how the machine starts these guys. Then start them from the shell prompt, yourself. % portmap % nibind Then use the netinfo utilities: nidump and niload to view/modify your netinfo printing information. > While changing printing information with the NetInfoManager, > my NeXT was powered down.
