I was playing around with the Scene application and had a weird bug: Under ill-documented conditions, when I display a background screen using the 'display' button in the 'Scene' window the window server seems to die. The normal behavior seems to be to blank out the entire screen and show the selected background scene. Then upon a mouse click the screen is redrawn with all the windows, menus, application dock and whatever else plus the background screen. In two cases I've come across, nothing happens when I press the mouse-- I keep staring at the background screen. Neither button does anything, nor does any keypress or combination of keypress. --except for the 'power' button: If I select 'cancel' power-off, then I get the menu for the workspace manager, HOWEVER the behavior is clearly malfunctional--no windows, can't get any browser, etc. Fortunately the 'log-out' option works. Upon restart the problem goes away. It also goes away if I do a straight-forward power-cycle instead of cancelling. In addition to all this, I noticed that in the case of normal operation, where the mouse click make clears the display mode, the click is passed through to whatever was underneath the sample display--annoying when I accidentally hit some button that does something to unintended. Has anyone else out there come across this problem? -Avery Wang
