Hi Folks, Sub: Using MailMerge and obtaining Different number of address lines I am trying to use WriteNow along with its mailmerge facility to generate form letters. I have to deal with international address in which case some addresses differ in the number of lines in them. I have been able to do this pretty close, but those addresses that have less number of lines than the others have blank lines inbetween lines. When I try to correct this, to remove the blank lines in the shorter addresses, those addresses with more lines appear on same number of lines as the shorter ones. So my question is, Is it possible to generate addresses of differing line lengths in WriteNow. Of course I have the data file set up with consecutive commas like ,, to indicate blanks files. The documentation mentions how to avoid carriage returns in the address, but never mentions how to add conditional Carriage Returns. If you have been able to generate like the examples given below, please let me know how to do it. Send me email. Thanks a lot, Joseph Rajkumar Email:- rajkumar@plains.NoDak.edu Sample Kind of Addresses I want to be able to generate using Writenow. The most important thing is some addresses are 3 lines long while others are 4 lines long. I do not want blank lines in the shorter addresses or two address lines on the same physical line in the longer address. Just include the end-of-lines in the conditional part: <<address line 1>><<IF address line 2>> <<address line 2>><<ENDIF>><<IF address line 3>> <<address line 3>><<ENDIF>><<IF address line 4>> <<address line 4>><<ENDIF>> Jacob -- Jacob Gore Jacob@Gore.Com boulder!gore!jacob
