[comp.sys.next] Buzzings/NeXT User's Journal - GOOD, USEFUL, IMPORTANT INFO

erica@kong.gatech.edu (Erica Liebman) (06/01/90)

I'll make this quick. #1 : Response to outcry about Frame format :
I OPENLY REQUEST SUBMISSIONS FOR NEW FRAME FORMAT LOOK+FEEL,
with restriction to ONE COLUMN layout. I will need paragraph
headers, quote-bolding, etc as in current layout. No submission
will be accepted without a reasonable set of paragraph definitions.
Submit at least 3 pages worth (just stick in garbage text as needed)
to erica@kong.gatech.edu. Deadline : 7 June.

#2 : Frame pictures problem
Issues 5 and 6 to be reposted within the next day or so WITHOUT
pictures. (Probably called Buzz#.nopix.frame.Z).

#3 : ID Cards
Still finishing my homework. ID Numbers out this weekend.
The feedback has been GREAT! Thank you all for your thoughtful
and well-written responses. If you ahven't gotten your's in,
now is a great time to do so (whilst I struggle with data-flow h/w).

#4 : PAPER SUBSCRIPTIONS
Everyone who has ever written to me about paper subscriptions :
PLEASE send a letter to Ron Weissman of NeXT, telling him that
you would be interested in a paper subscription and asking for
information re NeXT supporting such an effort. Ron will be
helping out the Buzzies staff in supporting the newsletter under
NeXT's academic programs. He is a rather busy person who has
done (and will yet do) a lot for the newsletter/user-group,
so please don't phone him.

#5 : ARTICLES
If you have PROMISED me an article and have not DELIVERED an
article, please DO SO at your earliest convenience. I need to
get as many articles in over the next day or so as possible.
As always, THANK YOU for your time, your effort and your contribution
to the cause.

That's it for this update. As always, I'm at erica@kong.gatech.edu,
slaving away at the end of the quarter.
