I have an application in which I start a job on a remote machine and get the output back -- all with the help of a small shell script. Now, I would like to create a common interface with IB for the above and a big family of similar applications. Right now, we have been getting the remote output in a normal NeXT shell. But, I don't want the user to see the unfriendly and (un)fancy shell.. I would like to create a neat NeXT window and display the results.. Should I get into sockets and/or streams for this ..or even pipes for that matter? Given a choice, I would like to stick with my shell script and just execute that on the click of a button from an appropiate method..I guess that should be done with a system call. Your help and direction will be very valuable. Thanks -- -Krishnaprasad Kris Kamisetty,CIM Systems Research,Dept.
