You're using different definitions for "base cube." Developer and University prices for NeXT systems run as follows: 8 MB NeXT with 40 MB Accelerator Drive $4,995 8 MB NeXT with 40 MB + Optical Drive $6,495 4 MB RAM Expansion Kit $ 800 400 dpi NeXT Laser Printer $1,995 330 MB HD $1,995 660 MB HD $3,995 Actually, NeXT may have lowered prices on their (overpriced) hard drives; I haven't been paying attention... If what was posted regarding the Businessland prices was correct, than the price difference is only $500 for an OD-only system. That's nothing less than *incredible* if you consider Apple's list prices, which are usually about twice their developer ones... A few months ago, Businessland's prices were incredibly high; now, they're quite competitive with developer/school ones. Let's see Apple try to do the same...
