[comp.sys.next] rdump problem with > 1 tape

When I try to rdump to a VAX with BSD 4.3 or DECstation with Ultrix 3.1
rdump on the NeXT it never waits for a 2nd tape to be mounted and overwrites
the 1st tape.  I use the following command:

 rdump 0udf 6250 u2:/dev/rmt12 /

Is this a known problem?  Is there a fix or work around?
