Has anybody gotten awkcc, by J. Christopher Ramming, running on their NeXT? I am able to compile successfully and to translate simple (ie. 1-liner) awk programs into runnable C, but awkcc chokes on larger (100 line) awk programs. I have tried -bsd and no optimization to no avail. I am confident that my 100 line awk program is ok, because awk runs it and I have also successfully compiled awkcc on our Mips (same source code). The NeXT version of awkcc gets part way through the translation and quits with the simple message 'Memory fault'. The first NeXT version, compiled with the -O flag and no -bsd flag, would get part way through and then trap its own error - message something like "resolve: Bad news at source line 59". Anyway, ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

If i'm not mistaken, this sounds like a public domain awk-to-C translator. I've always looked for one, could you give a pointer on how to get hold of it?
