I'm considering writing a general-purpose discrete event simulation program for the NeXT. It would be something like a stripped-down, bare-bones SIMAN or SLAM (to mention two commercial products, not available on the NeXT; maybe for some version of UNIX though). I'm not planning on any continuous simulation capability; just queuing networks. It would use the NeXT interface. So, is someone else out there doing the same thing? Or has someone already done something like this? Am I wasting my effort? Also, if anyone has seen objective-C or C++ code for DE simulation, drop me a line. Please reply to me.
