[comp.sys.next] new memory woes

I just installed 8M of 1M SIMMs on my cube.  I now have a total
of 16M.  However, my first session after installing the memory
was a disaster, with applications suddenly and silently disappearing 
from the screen at random.  ROM monitor shows that the 16M is 
installed, but something is obviously wrong.  Can anyone suggest 
what is the matter and/or how I might debug this?  

I am going to try swapping the SIMMs in and out to see if I can 
determine whether one particular SIMM is causing problems (as 
soon as I can get a tool for pulling those stubborn little 
things out).
