[comp.sys.next] [FontManager orderFrontFontPanel:self];

glenn@heaven.woodside.ca.us (Glenn Reid) (08/18/90)

Both the 1.0 documentation and the file /usr/include/appkit/FontManager.h
make mention of a method called "orderFrontFontpanel:" that is supposed
to pop up the font panel. When I compiled this into my application, it
caused the program to crash with the message:

    error: FontManager does not recognize selector orderFrontFontPanel:

which means that the compiler thought the message was good, but the run-time
object disagreed. Has anybody else run into this?

There are probably at least 33 other ways to get the font panel to pop
up, and I'll go about it some other way, but it sort of surprised me.
