And the NeXT thing that will go wrong with your NeXT is the printer....

We're having a persistent jamming problem with the printer.  It
prints about half a page and then just stops, leaving the paper
stuck in the out rollers and only half of the ink fixed.  Then,
this nice voice booms out: "Your printer is jammed" if that don't
beat all...

We've got some very early NeXTs and printers too.  Anybody know
what to do?  And has anybody else had printer problems like this?

Yes, but all the mechanical problems with the NeXT laser are the same problems
as those with any HP Laserjet-Series II. It's the same engine :-).

I'd rather find out if the rumor about systematic design flaws in the old
Optical Drive is true. Maybe it is irrelevant---if NeXT has an upgrade program
to a bigger OD, soon, though. I would expect more recent drives to be a bit
more rugged.
