Thanks to all that responded. All suggested using f2c, strongly suggesting that NeXT has a MAJOR market hole in science/engineering where Fortran is well established. In any event, my code causes f2c to choke and die and refuse to put out any code at all. This code does some bit-shifting; it runs on Crays, CDCs, IBM 308x, 3090, 43x1, Univacs, Suns, Mips, PCs, ... you get the drift. f2c can't cut it. So my original question still stands -- I would like to get info on Fortran for the NeXT. BTW, found out with a phone call that Absoft Fortran is $995, $750 with academic discount, but that's still a little high. Any others out there? thanks, dan davison davison@uh.edu -- dr. dan davison/dept. of biochemical and biophysical sciences/univ. of Houston/4800 Calhoun/Houston,TX 77054-5500/davison@uh.edu/DAVISON@UHOU "Without the voice of reason, every faith is its own curse" -- Sting Disclaimer: As always, I speak only for myself, and, usually, only to myself.
