My friend has a 1978 Monte Carlo which has a fluid leak (probably water) from the tailpipe after you start the car. Anybody ever experience this problem or know what the solution is? PLEASE MAIL ANY RESPONSES TO: ..!{ psuvax1, presby, allegra, purdue }!burdvax!asgdtn!brian

Sounds as if a lot of is there when he starts up, forcing some of it out the tailpipe. Question: 1) does it occur at each startup regradless of the length of the previous trip? 2) does he go through a lot of mufflers and tailpipes? 3) is it really water? john miller, AT&T Bell Labs, Columbus, Ohio
