I know that the NeXT box uses as its OOP environment Objective C as opposed to C++ or something else. The question I have is: where is there a book that gives the specifications for Objective C? I am not interested in the NeXT specific version, rather, I am interested in the "generic" blase boring Objective C that one can run on any machine (assuming, of course that there is a compiler for that machine...). Any pointers to this would be greatly appreciated, as always. David Harr wirehead@oxy.edu

Although I never designed it as an Objective-C reference manual, the latest edition of my book, "Object-oriented Programming; An Evolutionary Approach" is nearing completion and should be in bookstores in a few months. This edition brings the book up to date with subsequent changes in the language. You might also call Stepstone for a copy of the reference manual. I don't recall whether/what we're charging for this. 203 426 1875 Brad -- Brad Cox; cox@stepstone.com; CI$ 71230,647; 203 426 1875 The Stepstone Corporation; 75 Glen Road; Sandy Hook CT 06482
