I was speaking with the folks at Media Logic today---they warned me of impending price increases. So, if you are thinling of buying TopDraw, do it now! One reason is that Cannon just raised the price of opticals on them by $100. This price will soon be reflected in their fully packaged copies. (Note: buy opticals now---while the price is still low!) (I was hoping they would unload their optical copies for cheap, but because of this, just the opposite!) And, they are changing their Educational Volume purchase plan. In the New plan, a master copy is $395, the first 25 copies are $350, and the rest $100 (they were all $100 before.) If your bookstore got in on the old plan, they are safe. But prices in general may go up, due to increases elsewhere. Finally, TopDraw 2.0 wont be out for several months, so don't hold your breath. -- Barry Merriman UCLA Dept. of Math UCLA Inst. for Fusion and Plasma Research barry@math.ucla.edu (Internet)
