Is there any way when using a generic text object or a form object to limit the number of characters that can be typed? I am writing an App that gets input for a database in Sybase. The fields are of a set length, for example fourty characters. I want to have the text/form object beep when the person tries to type more than the maximum allowable number of characters. Can this be done with the generic text/form objects? If I have to subclass, which methods will I want to change? Scott Greenman Univ of Utah

Gee, I've never heard of anyone wanting to _LIMIT_ the text length on the Mac. NeXT software is slick! | Josh Pritikin (jpab+@andrew.cmu.edu) | | C++ the power. This space for rent. |
