Hi! I'm new to the NeXT world, but am _seriously_ considering getting a NeXTstation. If anyone could answer any/all of these questions, I would be very appreciative! 1. I would like to get the complete bundleded software, but the additional $2000 for the 340MB hard drive goes out of my price range. Does the extended software that dosen't fit on the 105MB drive come on floppies? 2. Can I use a Macintosh hard disk _directly_ connected to the NeXT? 3. If Mac drives can't be used, how big a hard drive could I get for, say, under $1000? 4. I have a Mac CD-ROM drive and tape drive. Could either of these be connected _directly_ to the NeXT? (The CD-ROM is a CD-Technologies Portadrive) 5. If I get an ethernet card for my Mac, would I be able to use the Mac hard drive/CD-ROM/Tape drive from the NeXT? Could I, for example, back the NeXT hard drive to the Mac tape drive? 6. (LAST ONE! :-) My campus store does not sell NeXTs.... could I go to Businessland or somewhere and get a NeXT there with a student discount? I know there are lots of questions here, but $5000+ is a lot of money for me! I would be very grateful for anyone's help. Thanks very much! Happy NeXTing :-) __________________________________________________________________ Jason W.
