According to a person at the 1-800-848-NeXT, several academic beta testers have NeXTdimension boxes. He also said that they are programming the i860 directly. My question is, who are these people, and why aren't we hearing from them? Tim

A couple options pop up their heads: 1) NeXT told them they couldn't. 2) There's nothing much to talk about ( :-] ) 3) They just got the equipment within the last week or so (I don't know, but if half of what's been heard in the rumor mill is true, they probably aren't quite finished, yet) 4) They're just having too darn much fun mucking about with the machines to post. I'm holding out for #4. It has the most impressive implications (IMHO). scott hess scott@gac.edu Independent NeXT Developer (Stuart) NeXT Campus Consultant (Not much, really) GAC Undergrad (Horrid.
