[comp.sys.next] Pretty pictures

scott@sage.uchicago.edu (Scott Deerwester) (10/11/90)

I've just submitted four more scanned images, suitable for use as
NeXT screen backgrounds using Scene (or whatever Eric Scott comes up
with...). They are currently in the pub/next/submissions, but will
most likely migrate to pub/next/graphics, if past experience is any
guide. The files are compressed tiff files, as the names reflect.
The images are:

Brugges.tiff	A canal scene, in Brugges, Belgium
  Chillon.tiff	Chateau Chillon, in Switzerland
  Nocturn.tiff	Twilight in Venice
Snow.tiff	Sunshine, pines and lots of snow

They're not copyrighted by anybody, as far as I know. I scanned them
from postcards purchased in Europe, and a calendar, respectively.
Now if I can just get a color scanner and color NeXT...

Guess I forgot to say where I put them, huh? The images are on
cs.orst.edu. Sorry.

:hits himself in the head with the scanned image of a 2x4.

(If you don't know, don't ask.)
