---------- Here's the problem: I need to change a few environment variables (what I would ordinarily do with a setenv command in the .cshrc file) in such a way that an application opened under the workspace manager recognizes the changes. Here's the context: I use TeX on the NeXT, and I have some of my own fonts that I keep in a subdirectory of my home directory. I need TeXview to be able to find these fonts. The environment variable in question is TEXPKS -- I need to add my subdirectory to the path list. By putting the setenv statement in the .cshrc or .login files, the new path doesn't register if I start TeXview under the workspace manager. However, if I start the Shell application and start TeXview from inside it (by typing 'TeXview myfile.dvi &'), the environment variables are all set properly. How can I get the new path to show up under the workspace manager? Please *mail* responses to leathrum@melchior.dartmouth.edu. Regards, Tom Leathrum moth@dartmouth.edu
