Our NeXTs are commonly refered to now as 'the door stops' because of recurring problems. The one that has plagued them most often is a failure to reboot after loading the network configuration into the netinfo file. We are booting off of opticals and we get an error that says the Init file is bad and wont load. I've posted once about this and got no response. If this problem can not be solved it is probably the end for NeXT at OSU's computing department. On the other hand, if we can get them up and running, there are a couple of professors interested in object oriented research who would like to do it on the NeXTs. Please help me get this going.
