Thanks to all the people who responded to my previous posting. I have some
new questions now. Has NeXT fixed the problem with the serial ports? I
was reading a back issue of Tao and it mentioned that high speed modems give
the NeXT problems. Has this been addressed?

Any good publications on the NeXT? Is there a NeXTweek? I find that MacWeek
is better than most of the other mac publications.

Now for the important stuff. Has anyone actually seen a color station yet?
I have concerns that since the '040 is doing all the work for 16-bit color,
it may be pretty slow. I'm now considering waiting on the color and just
going for a cube but I know that I really also don't need 32-bit color either
(a proposed eventual purchase of a NeXTdimension board.) The 16-bit color
would be just fine if it wasn't too slow. I have heard that the dimension
board is as fast or faster than 2-bit color on a station or cube. How does
the 16-bit color compare on the color station? Any thoughts on this matter?

How flexible is the deal with '030 cube now, '040 when available? Could a
40Mb drive be substituted for the 330MB so I could get a 3rd party drive
and still get an optical? I know it would be slow at first but later...
The reason I asked previously if a NeXT could be purchased without a hard
drive and then use the floppy to boot utilities is to boot disk formatting
and data restoring software to start from a non-preformatted (3rd party)
drive. Since you can't buy a NeXT without a hard drive, the point is moot.

That about does it for now...Thanks in advance for any information possible.
