I have three big concerns about buying a color NeXTstation. If anyone out there has seen one, perhaps they can enlighten me 1. How does the display speed of a color NeXTstation compare to the 2 bit or the '030 NeXT? I would think that the '040 handling 16 bits of color would drastically slow down the machine, like I experience on my 8 bit MacII. 2. Is there a way to switch the color NeXTstation from 16 bit color to 2 bit to increase the display speed? I do this on my MacII when I need responsiveness instead of color. 3. If I buy a 500MB internal hard disk for my NeXTstation, how am I going to initilize the thing and put boot software on it? Once I remove the 100MB internal, I don't think I can boot off the floppy to initilize the hard disk. How can I copy the boot software onto an empty disk if it won't boot off the floppy? Thank you much Len Schultz ls1i+@andrew.cmu.edu
