I'm considering buying a NeXTstation and I've got a couple of questions
First, a few facts, I'm looking at a mono NeXTstation with a 105 HD and
8 megs of RAM, I'm considering adding a external HD.
1) What happens if the internal HD looses it's ability
to boot for whatever reason? Can I boot from a 2.88 floppy?
2) How much space is left on the 105 HD to work with? How about the
340 HD?
3) Is there an FTP site around that has PD NeXT apps? I seem to
remember seeing one somewhere out on the west coast, but I
can't remember exactly where.
4) Should I expect any problems with adding a 3rd party drive (like
a Conner or Maxtor)?
5) Will any external modem work with it or do I need a modem that could
work with a mac?
6) What exactly is a SLIP connection? I've heard that you can FTP to
a machine over a modem, is this correct?
