All: This info came from a friend of mine who is a NeXT manager at Businessland. The prices are nationwide. I do not personally gain from the posting; I am simply a NeXT fanatic who was lucky enough to have one at work already and who'd like to see more folks be able to purchase them. I THINK that the first machines listed are without hard disks (check with your local BusinessLand rep). Charlie S. I've found out that in order to free up inventory space for the line of new NeXTstation and NeXTcube computers, Businessland is dramatically reducing the prices of 68030-based models of the NeXT Computer! Status CPU RAM Storage Price ====== === === ======= ===== Demo 68030 8MB 256MB Optical $2,795 New 68030 8MB 256MB Optical $3,995 Demo 68030 8MB 256MB Optical $5,295 330MB Maxtor 8380S These are the original NeXT Computers, and each includes a NeXT Megapixel Display, all user documentation and >full warranty<. Just add a 68040 Upgrade to these systems for the most cost-effective NeXTsteppin' of the year! There are a limited number of units available at these incredible prices. When these demo systems are gone, so are the special prices. If you've been waiting for the NeXT to become affordable, now's your chance! -- Charlie S. I would like to know if there is any difference between the 68030 (OLD) CUBE and the new 68040 CUBE after I upgrade the old cube to the new motherboard. Are they exactly the same system after the upgrade (not worrying about the optical drive or the new floppy drive)? What about the MegaPixel monitor? Is it still the same as the first one? I would appreciate if someone could answer this ASAP. I need the information to make a decision on how I'm going to buy my new NeXT!!!!!! Please call me collect or e-mail any responses (although I prefer a phone call). ----------------- Felix A.
