Ok, I have pretty much set my mind on buying a NeXT Station (105Meg) and getting some sort of add-on drive (that 510 meg 3.5" drive looked nice). One thing concerns me though. I have never run a Unix system before. From reading this newsgroup, I realize how difficult this is. From all of these cryptic disk-formatting procedures to all of the 'dot' files. I am looking for a good book that would describe how to run a Unix system (specifically a NeXT) Requirements would be: Fairly easy to understand to a Unix neophyte Not an insult to my intelligence (I understand what a 'floppy disk' is) One that details all of the setup files. System security is not really necessary but would be nice. Thanks for all coments. Email please, I will summarize. -- Joel Sumner GENIE:JOEL.SUMNER These opinions are q4kx@cornella.ccs.cornell.edu q4kx@cornella warranted for 90 days or q4kx@vax5.cit.cornell.edu q4kx@crnlvax5 60,000 miles.
