Thanks to everyone who posted or emailed responses to my query regarding stopping my App mid-list. I've declared my App fit for distribution, and I've stuck it in /pub/next/submissions at Oregon State (cs.orst.edu), and I plan on putting it at Purdue, too. Where else should I stick it? (no rude responses here!) I don't have addresses for whomever manages these sites, so I'm just sticking it in "submissions" and hoping it gets noticed. The App is called ArsMagna and does anagrams. You can specify several options, like which of the three (did you know there were three?) dictionaries to use, minimum word lengths, maximum number of words, and allow for several useful non-word inclusions (like "-s" and "-ing"). Instead of incorporating the "stop-my-list" suggestions, however, I have found ways to speed up the list-making process so that it finishes in a reasonable amount of time, especially when using the shorter dictionary. I expect that I will arrange a stop button in the next version. Thanks again to those of you who told me how to do this. Well, go get a copy and play with it. Tell me how you like it. & Have fun! -James Daff & Madam Satara-- _____________________________________________________________________ Jeff & Tamara Adams (or at least one of us)
