From the few source files I've looked at, it seems that icons are created as tiff files and are then linked in to the beginning of an executable file as a seperate segment. (Correct me if I'm wrong as I've never written an app for this box). Fine. I like the idea of carrying the icon around within the executable rather than having a seperate resource file a la Macintosh. My problem is that I have exectuables that I've gotten off the net ( no source ), and I want to give these babies some interesting icons intead of the generic icon that I'm getting now. Is there some utility for stripping an executable and adding an icon? Is there a routine sequence I can use with the linker to accomplish this? Am I on the wrong track here? thanx for any input.. -- Greg Vesper (vesper@kong.gsfc.nasa.gov) 301-286-5162 Goddard Space Flight Center; Greenbelt, Maryland "Two basic facts of life: 1) There is a God. 2) You're not him."
