Back when I was a student, I remember seeing all of these paperback BSD Unix manuals lying around wherever Suns, etc. seemed to live. There were many different manuals covering various aspects of Unix all the way from user level to administrative level. They seemed to have pictures of demons (daemons?) on their covers. They seemed to be an excellent source of BSD Unix info. I find that trying to maintain a standalone NeXT requires a little more than the NeXT documentation (guffaws heard in the background!), so I would like to buy additional manuals. I seem to remember that UC Berkeley might have been the source, but I also seem to remember that the distribution of these manuals might have been limited to universities. Can someone provide me a pointer? -- _____ ____ Art Isbell |\ | | | | \ 315 Moon Meadow Lane NeXT Registered Developer | \ | ___ |____| | | Felton, CA isbell@ucscf.UCSC.EDU | \ | |___| | \ | | 95018-9442 (408)438-4736(B) | \| |___ | \ |___/ (408)335-1154(H)
