Well, after a lot of wrangling, I have come up with a possible drive for my
new Next. The drive is a Maxtor XT-3280 with 244 mgs formatted capacity.
I have 3 questions on it before I commit myself to going out and buying it:
(1) Will I be able to format this thing on a Next without crying my eyes
out?
(2) Can I fit the entire 2.0 dist kit on this drive.
(3) Are the 3000 series drives substantially different from the 4000
series?
My current idea is to use the 100mg drive in my slab-to-be for working
storage, and this little beast for keeping the operating system. I do
intend to purchace a better drive when I have more money/prices come down.
