I am a fairly new NeXT user (only couple months), but so far I love every
minute on my NeXT...
Recently, I came across two problems which I can't seem to solve. I hope
..rephrase...I am quite sure that someone has the solutions:
1) I can't seem to get another NeXT on the network to recognize the fonts
in /Net/hostname/LocalLibrary/Fonts on the host. I tried "Buildafm /Net/
hostname/LocalLibrary/Fonts". The /LocalLibrary has been exported to all
machines on the network. I have no problem using the fonts on the host
NeXT.
2) Last night, I was having problems accessing my OD..it would spin, stop,
spin, stop, can't read or write... When I fired the Cube up again this
morning, everything seems to be fine again. I heard about dust problems
with the older Cubes (mine is about a year old). I also heard that the
'040 upgrade comes with dust filters for the OD. Would those filters work
with older Cubes? Is there any other way to prevent dust from entering the
Cube? Is it wise to clean the inside of the OD drive with a cotton swab?

ps. Robert Lin (the author of iwsript) is a good friend of mine. He is
currently at COMDEX to unveil his new products (MirageFAX, etc.). That's
why he hasn't been around to fight off the "flame".
