I may be about to embark on a large NeXT development project involving the Sybase DB server. Under 1.0, this server is very poorly integrated with IB :-) Professional Software, Inc., is marketing a product that purports to solve this integration problem and to provide classes that interact with Sybase (i.e., an object oriented interface to Sybase). This sounds like a step in the right direction. From what I've heard, NeXT's DBkit is still down the road too far to consider at this point. So, has anyone used Objective DB Toolkit? I would be interested in your comments, if you know anything about this product. If the rest of the world is going to find out about our wonderful "secret", someone will have to write real-world applications, and these frequently need a DBMS, so this should be of interest to comp.sys.next. Post your response here if you agree, otherwise, please email me. Thanks in advance. -- _____ ____ Art Isbell |\ | | | | \ 315 Moon Meadow Lane NeXT Registered Developer | \ | ___ |____| | | Felton, CA isbell@ucscf.UCSC.EDU | \ | |___| | \ | | 95018-9442 (408)438-4736(B) | \| |___ | \ |___/ (408)335-1154(H)
