1) How is the NeXT with "only" 8 megs? A lot of people have said that 12/16 is definitely important, but considering it will cost ~$600-800 to upgrade to that, I'd like to know how necessary it is... 2) Since I won't be able to spring for the NeXT printer, I was hoping to do something like save the EPS/PS from the word processor/whatever to disk, and then takethat over to a friendly Sparcstation connected to an Apple Laserprinter. Can I save EPS/PS to disk, and if so, is it reasonably easy to get it printed out on the laserprinter once I get to the Sun... thanks for any help matt Pharr-Matthew@Cs.Yale.Edu

Can I save EPS/PS to disk, and if so, is it reasonably easy to get it printed out on the laserprinter once I get to the Sun... if you've got a nearby friendly sparcstation, it would really be worth looking into a little ethernet. if you do that, you'll be able to print to the sun's laserwriter directly. if you really need to go the floppy route, that's also quite straightforward. hit 'save' in the print dialog & it dumps the ps in a file. carry it to the sun & lpr it. -- .mike.
