[comp.sys.next] Cassandra v1.3 available via anonymous ftp

jiro@TRUMPET.CIT.CORNELL.EDU (Jiro Nakamura NeXT Developer) (12/06/90)

Hola Net Fans -

Cassandra v1.3 is now available from your local anonymous FTP site
(cs.orst.edu or nova.cc.purdue.edu). Cassandra was basically rewritten
for 2.0 so that everything that 2.0 wants, works.
The basic core of Cassandra hasn't changed, so if you hated the
interface of previous versions, sorry. But I've added a "Week Overview"
that makes things more bearable.
Also, there is a 4++ function calculator callable from Cassandra, which
also makes life a bit more bearable. Sure beats calling up XCalc or
bc/dc everytimne, anyway (saves icon space).
For folks who don't know what Cassandra is, it's a alarm/schedule
program w/ useful frills like the above mentioned calculator, a multipage
notepad (w/ full RTF/Rulers/Spell Checker support!), etc.
Version 1.4 *will* have an automatic screensaver, just like Pyro (tm)
on the macintoy. I know, because I just wrote that section.....
Sigh... What else.... Oh yes, Cassandra v1.3 will *only* work on
System 2.0* machines. So if you don't have System 2.0 (fuscia or above),
then you shouldn't even bother getting it off the ftp sites. And, Cassandra
is back to being good ol' ShareWare.
