Multi-port serial board: if Scott gets three or more orders on this, it will be done. 8 serial port (possibly 16-- depends on what people need) board for around $2500. Can hang dumb terminals off the board. --- Sound Studio Board 8 stereo channel A/D board. 16 bits/channel at 44.1 kHz/channel sampling rate. in the $3000-$4000 range. If there are three or more orders, the board will be built. --- Basically, any board of any type can be built for $5000 (possibly more if complex). The price starts dropping at the three boards payed for mark. The construction is of extremely good quality: the initial A/D board is four layer with all chips capacitor coupled for shielding-- very nice layout. The hardware guy (Jon Miramonti) is an absolute genius; the boards are very elegant with extremely high performance. Turn around is extremely quick; most boards can be designed, implemented, and built in less than two months. You will have to call Dazzl (look in the software/periphs guide for more info) for more information. Or mail to <peomed@uxh.cso.uiuc.edu> and cc me. --- I will be out of town (and unavailable) until at least January 3, possibly as late as January 11. If you email me, don't expect an answer until then. b.bum wb1j+next@andrew.cmu.edu
