Wait for 2.0. Well, you might already have it :-) There's a browser in
the InterfaceBuilder that you can drag right in. It's sort of confusing
at this point, but I plan to figure it out over Xmas break. We'll see
how it goes :-). Anyhow, it should solve your problems (and anyone
else's who needs a browser).

I'm *really* sorry about wasting net bandwith here.

BUT: I'm hardly trying to use a browser in my App
but I couldn't find any online-documentation about
a browser object. As a part of my experimentation
I examined the system's load/save panel .nib resources.
Suddenly there was a browser-inspector available in IB.

So, now I'm totally stuffed without any usable results.

(That's why I thought about asking the friendly net-people :-)

any helps greatly appreciated...

I believe that there was a browser posted at one of the ftp sites.
Although you did stumble onto the browser obj that next used
internally, you should stay away from it. It is evil. No, really, it
isn't supported in general, and it crashes and burns (so I've been
told) with newer system releases. 2.0 has a very nice browser object
in IB. If you can't find one on the nets, I can probably mail you one
of ours.
