I am trying to NFS mount a directory on my NeXT to my Sun. I have the following set up: /etc/exports: /somedir exportfs -a From the Sun I type: mount remotehost:/somedir /mnt mount: remotehost:/somedir server not responding: RPC: Authentication error; why = Invalid client credential mount: giving up on: /mnt Running etherfind -r -v -host remotehost: UDP from localhost.824 to remotehost.sunrpc 64 bytes RPC Call portmapper PMAPPROC_GETPORT V2 UDP from remotehost.sunrpc to localhost.824 36 bytes RPC Reply too short accepted AUTH_NULL Success UDP from localhost.825 to remotehost.726 48 bytes RPC Call mountd MNTPROC_NULL V2 UDP from remotehost.726 to localhost.825 40 bytes RPC Reply too short accepted AUTH_NULL PROG_MISMATCH UDP from localhost.826 to remotehost.726 48 bytes RPC Call mountd MNTPROC_NULL V1 UDP from remotehost.726 to localhost.826 32 bytes RPC Reply too short accepted AUTH_NULL Success UDP from localhost.826 to remotehost.726 120 bytes RPC Call mountd MNTPROC_MNT V1 UDP from remotehost.726 to localhost.826 28 bytes RPC Reply denied (low 1 hi 1) bad credentials The really strange thing is that other machines on campus can mount the directory, but the machines in my yp domain cannot. Any ideas? Thanks. -Richard --------------- Richard Robison Computer Coordinator, ISyE 404-894-6221 UUCP: rr@isye.UUCP {backbones}!gatech!isye!rr INTERNET: rr@isye.gatech.edu
