[comp.sys.next] recent quotes on 4MB SIMMS

I'm in the market for some 4MB SIMMS for a NeXT.  Because of this,
I've been calling around checking on prices.  I thought that
some of you comp.sys.next readers might be interested in what
I found out.

First of all, at least two companies (actually the salespeople)
said that they expected the prices of 1MB SIMMS to go up in the
near future.  Apparently, the Japanese manufacturers are pushing
4MB SIMMS by making it more difficult for distributors to
obtain 1MB SIMMS.  Hopefully this means the price of 4MB SIMMS will
come down (maybe not).

The most promising source of 4MB SIMMS that I found was
Peripheral Outlet in Ada, OK. ([800|405]-332-6581) They are asking

$195 for 4x8, 80ns low-profile *vertically mounted* 4MB SIMMS.

The brand name was NMB.  Has anyone dealt with Peripheral
Outlet that would care to share their experience?  Does
anyone have any info on NMB?  If so, please send me a note.

What kind of 4Mb SIMM is shorter--horizontally-mounted or
vertically-mounted?  This may be significant because of the small
space provided for SIMMs on the NeXTcube.  Witness a bunch of
inquiries about how to install high-profile 1Mb SIMMs a while
back.
