We have a LaserWriter NT spooling off of a Sun 4-65 running SunOS 4.1
When we try to spool jobs from our NeXT running NeXTOS 2.0, the Sun
flushes the jobs. The problem appears to be in the cf file in the
spool directory (the cf stands for control file). The first line of
the file is:
R400
which, as far as we can tell is not a supported lpr option on Suns.
We even tried using the values in the /etc/printcap file for
LaserWriters, and then doing an "niload printcap . < /etc/printcap",
and printing that way. Same problem.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a know problem?
Has anyone successfully printed to a remote LaserWriter with this (or
a similar) configuration?
Any help would be appreciated,
Vaughan
