I haven't been keeping up with comp.sys.next like I should. So, pardon me if I am repeating a previously discussed topic. We were planning to upgrade our undergraduate lab of 35 NeXT's to 2.0 for the spring semester. It appears that common lisp is broken under 2.0. The second- hand information I received indicates that it will not be fixed for a couple of months. In order to accommodate the classes that have used common lisp in the past, we seem forced to remain at 1.0a until the problem is fixed. If my information is incorrect, please let me know. We are in a double bind because some professors are interested in using C++ which is distributed with 2.0. If anyone has successfully complied C++ under 1.0a, I would appreciate hearing from them.
