[comp.sys.next] missing in 2.0

In 2.0, the -ltext library and the include files in /usr/include/text/
are missing. Does anyone know the status of these ? They provide
access to webster's.

On a 2.0 system, the developer release notes file
/NextLibrary/Documentation/NextDev/ReleaseNotes/Indexing.rtf
says the 'text'/'indexing' libraries are not include in 2.0 because "NeXT
may restructure its text indexing facility for the next release to accomodate the intorduction of a comprehensive information architecture."

However, the libraries are available from NeXT Technical Support. Try
sending a message to 'ask_next@NeXT.COM' asking for the libraries. You will probably receive a quick and friendly response as I did.

You've got to contact NeXT directly to get -ltext. The interface has changed, and is likely to change again, and they don't want to have to support upwards compatability...
