About a month ago, I was inquiring about the possibility of getting a board that would drive a second MegaPixel display on a single cube, the idea being to create a multi display workstation with as little added cost as possible. Well, apparantly no such board exists, but I've had another idea that I would like comments on. ( Forgive me if this has already been put forward. ) NeXT has informed me that, if I choose, I can keep the 030 board from my cube when I do my 040 upgrade. So why not purchase an enclosure ( say a vertical "baby" AT case with a power supply ), load the 030 board in it, buy an extra MegaPixel display, and connect it up on the ethernet to the 040 cube. Now I know that there will be some problems like getting at the ports on the back of the 030 board, but do people think it could work? Maybe NeXT would be willing to just sell me a Slab enclosure with a power supply ( sans hard disk, floppy, and 040 board ).
