If you have a Delco radio with digital tuning and have been annoyed at only having four pre-set buttons to assign stations to, I have great news! Through the miracle of experimentation, three (yes 3) more stations can be set. Here's how: You have four buttons ("1" "2" "3" and "4") for 4 conventional pre-sets. Then you can use button "1 2" (push and hold 1 then 2) to set a fifth station. Likewise you can set "2 3" and "3 4". You can push the buttons in either order, the important thing is that you hold the first one and then press the second. Sorry, "1 2 3" doesn't yield anything useful (nor do other combos). Still it's better to have seven presets than four, isn't it? Yes, it works on AM as well as FM. Remember, you heard it here first (or if you didn't who cares?) A friend and I tried you trick on our GM cars and guess what? We can only get two combinations to work ( "1 4" and "2 4"). Any body know if the radios vary from year to year? My car is a 1984 Celebrity with AM/FM stereo cassette. My friends car is a 1985(?) Camaro with a AM/FM stereo w/seek and scan and equalizer, et. al. At any rate, six presets are better than four.
